There is NO COVER CHARGE :) Event location: Hawthorne High School 4859 W El Segundo Blvd Hawthorne CA, 90250 Inglewood Ave/Broadway Ave Hal Cap Field/TrackS Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives everyone a chance to celebrate the lives of people who have battled cancer, remember loved ones lost, and fight back against the disease. During the event teams of people gather at Hawthorne High Schools track /field and camp out at the high school they take turns walking or running around a track. Each team is asked to have a representative on the track at all times during the event. Because cancer never sleeps as we Celebrate, Remember and Fighting back as a community and help raise awareness to help save lives. Money raised through Relay For Life goes to American Cancer Society: •Community/patient support programs •Detection and treatment programs •Research grants and research programs Event Schedule: Opening Ceremony: 9am Sat Survivor Speech ~Honoring : Survivors 1st Lap around the track: 9:30am & light Breakfast Stay Tune for a list of activities through out the day! Games, Music ,Dancing & Food So bring your lounge chair,blanky and spend the day with us. What is Luminaria?Luminaria Ceremony: 9pm Sat Luminiria Speech ~In Memory of: Bring a Flashlight! Gates Close at 10pm for the Night! Sunday April 28 th Gates open @8am 8:30AM Fight Back & Closing Ceremony Awards Participants pledge to take action and spread awareness of cancer research, treatments, and prevention.
